How we handle information and your privacy choices. See our Terms of Use.
1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Travelers Financial Services (TFS, we, us or our), a member of Travelers Financial Group, handles personal information in connection with www.tfsfinancial.com, our enquiries, commercial equipment financing services, business relationships and recruitment. It also explains our TFS LinkedIn feed application. A lender, partner or separately operated website may provide its own notice for its activities.
Our privacy contact is contact@tfsfinancial.com. You can use this address for questions, access, correction, consent withdrawal and deletion requests.
2. Information we handle
- Enquiries and relationships: your name, company, email, telephone number, enquiry, correspondence and business role.
- Financing services: where relevant to a separately initiated application, business and equipment details, supporting records and financial or credit information that we are authorized to obtain. The public website enquiry is not a credit application.
- Recruitment: the contact information, work history and application materials you or an authorized recruiter provide.
- Website activity: hosting and security logs may include IP address, request time, browser, device and pages requested. Analytics and cookie-based features, if enabled, may collect additional usage information as explained below.
- Messaging: if you separately enrol in a messaging program, your number, consent record, preferences and delivery or message records.
Please do not put social insurance or social security numbers, bank credentials, credit reports or other sensitive application documents in the public enquiry fields or ordinary email. We can direct you to an appropriate channel when needed.
3. Website enquiries and email drafts
The Contact and lender-enquiry forms prepare a message in your default email application addressed to contact@tfsfinancial.com. You review and send that message yourself. Typing into a form or pressing Send does not by itself send the message to TFS through a website form-delivery service. Your email provider handles the draft and transmission under its own terms. When you send the message, TFS and its email service providers receive and process it to handle your enquiry.
The Home and Solutions partnership search bars route your browser to a relevant page. An unmatched enquiry may appear in the Contact page URL as an enquiry parameter. URLs may be recorded in browser history, hosting logs or analytics, so do not enter confidential information in these bars.
4. Purposes and consent
We use information to respond to requests, assess and administer authorized financing enquiries, connect customers with appropriate financing options, support partners, recruit staff, maintain records, secure our systems and meet legal obligations. We seek the consent required for the particular collection, use or disclosure. A website visit or acceptance of website terms is not permission for a credit check, recurring marketing texts or an unrelated use of sensitive information.
You can withdraw consent by contacting us, subject to applicable legal or contractual limits. We will explain any effect on a requested service. We do not require consent to unnecessary uses as a condition of providing a service.
5. Service providers, lenders and other disclosures
We may give relevant information to hosting, email, technology, security, professional and administrative providers that support these purposes. For an authorized financing request, relevant lenders, financing partners or group companies may receive the information needed to evaluate or provide the requested solution. Where we process a partner’s customer information on its behalf, its instructions and the relevant agreement govern that processing, together with applicable law.
We do not sell personal information or LinkedIn API data. We may disclose information to comply with lawful requirements, protect against fraud or security incidents, enforce rights, or complete a permitted business reorganization or transfer with appropriate safeguards. Information recipients should only receive what is relevant to their role. The specific restrictions on SMS consent below apply even where general business sharing is permitted.
6. Cookies, external resources and social links
WordPress, security tools and other enabled features may use cookies or similar technologies for their operation. If analytics or optional tracking tools are enabled, we provide any notices and choices required for that use. Your browser can block or remove cookies, although some features may be affected. The LinkedIn feed itself does not require visitors to sign in to LinkedIn or authorize a LinkedIn account.
Some pages load fonts, images or other resources from external providers. In particular, LinkedIn feed images may load directly from LinkedIn’s image delivery servers, which receive the visitor’s IP address and browser request information. LinkedIn post links open LinkedIn, where LinkedIn’s own Privacy Policy applies. Links to other brands and services are governed by those operators’ notices.
7. TFS LinkedIn feed application
Purpose and scope. Our application displays public updates from TFS’s LinkedIn company page on this website. In official API mode, an authorized TFS administrator supplies a token issued through an approved LinkedIn application with the required organization-read permission. Website visitors are not asked to connect an account. The application does not provide visitor LinkedIn sign-in or request access to visitors’ profiles, contacts or private messages, and it does not publish posts or send messages.
Data used. The feed retrieves public company-post text, identifiers and links, publication dates, associated image references and image delivery URLs. It keeps the organization identifier, connection settings, refresh status and an encrypted authorization token. It uses a limited local cache of up to six posts to display the feed and normally checks for updates hourly while API mode is enabled. Curated mode uses post details entered by a TFS administrator instead of automatic retrieval.
Access and sharing. Visitors can see the displayed public post excerpts and images. The authorization token is used on the server for requests to LinkedIn and is not included in the public feed. Authorized site administrators and necessary hosting or technical providers can manage or support the integration. We do not sell LinkedIn data, use it for advertising audiences or unrelated profiling, or use it to train AI models. Use and storage remain subject to the permissions and terms of the applicable LinkedIn API program.
Disconnecting and deletion. An authorizing administrator can revoke application access through LinkedIn’s Settings & Privacy, Data privacy, Permitted services, and can use Disconnect and delete stored feed data in the WordPress feed settings to remove the locally stored token, settings, curated entries and cached posts. Deleting the feed plugin also removes its stored options. Revoking LinkedIn access alone may not erase data already held by TFS; contact us to request that deletion. Disconnecting stops authorized retrieval; it does not remove the original posts from LinkedIn.
Your request. Email contact@tfsfinancial.com with the subject LinkedIn data deletion, identifying the relevant company page, post or authorizing account sufficiently for us to locate the information. Do not send a password or access token. We will verify authority proportionately and promptly address the request, including removing relevant API content and credentials where required. A connected administrator must authorize access before collection; renewed consent is needed when required for a renewed token or materially changed use.
8. Optional SMS and other communications
If TFS offers you an SMS/MMS program, enrolment requires the consent and disclosures applicable to that program. Providing your number or accepting these terms does not itself enrol you. Transactional messages may concern an application, documents, a transaction, account activity or customer service. Marketing texts require their own appropriate opt-in. Consent to texts is optional and is not a condition of obtaining financing or purchasing services.
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data or consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes, or transferred for another company’s messaging program. Necessary messaging providers may process this information solely to support the TFS program, subject to appropriate restrictions, or information may be disclosed as legally required. General sharing or business-transfer language in this policy does not override these restrictions.
For an enrolled program, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance, or contact contact@tfsfinancial.com or (236) 888-8951. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. A final opt-out confirmation may be sent. Opting out does not cancel an application or existing financial obligations. You may use unsubscribe instructions in marketing emails to stop those emails. This website does not enrol you in texts through its email-draft forms.
9. Storage, retention and safeguards
We use reasonable organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and limit access to people who need it. No system or ordinary email transmission is completely secure. Our providers or financing partners may process information in Canada, the United States or other locations where they operate; information may be subject to lawful access in those places.
We retain information only as needed for its identified purpose, applicable legal obligations and the resolution or administration of a transaction. We then delete or de-identify it as appropriate. LinkedIn content is retained only as permitted and needed for the feed; disconnection and deletion controls remove the active stored feed data. Provider or site backups may persist under their rotation schedules, must remain protected and are not an independent reason to resume a revoked integration. A deletion request does not change LinkedIn’s own records.
10. Access, correction, complaints and updates
Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, ask about a disclosure, withdraw consent, or raise a privacy concern. We may ask for reasonable information to verify identity or authority, without requesting unnecessary sensitive documents. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful exception or retention requirement. Requests about data a partner controls may be referred to that partner with appropriate assistance.
This website is directed to business users, not children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us. If our practices materially change, we will update this page and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required.
